Recently, the General Department of Taxation issued Decision 576/QD-TCT on the process of publicly disclosing information on the General Department of Taxation's website to realize the goal of reforming tax administration, strengthening discipline in tax management, and creating favorable conditions for taxpayers.
Specifically, the General Department of Taxation will post questions from businesses and individuals related to regulations, policies, and responses from tax authorities at all levels in the "Public Information on Documents" section.
The entire question-and-answer document will publicly disclose information about the tax authority code; the incoming number and symbol of the document; a summary of the content; the date and unit receiving/answering the question; and the full text of the question will be attached as a PDF.
Information disclosure deadline:
- For inquiry documents: upon receipt, the receiving department must propose uploading the document to the website and forwarding it to the processing department on the same day or at the beginning of the next working day. When the document reaches the processing department, it will be automatically updated on the department's website. The timeframe for circulating and processing incoming documents will follow the working regulations of each unit.
- For written responses: they are received by the document issuance department and forwarded immediately on the same day or at the beginning of the next working day to the recipient of the document, and are also automatically posted on the General Department of Taxation's website.
How to search for information:
- Taxpayers can look up publicly available information on the General Department of Taxation's website at https://www.gdt.gov.vn. They can then select all the necessary criteria to search for public documents, including the tax authority, the document number, and the date of receipt, then click the search button, and the system will display the results.
- The General Department of Taxation has requested heads of units to implement the document management program, organize its operation, and be responsible for posting the content of inquiries and answers on the General Department of Taxation's website in accordance with regulations. Simultaneously, IT staff at all levels of the tax authority must ensure the necessary technical conditions, network capacity, and application software to ensure the smooth dissemination of information and documents.
