The tax sector achieved over 107% of the inspection and audit target compared to the same period in 2015.

According to the General Department of Taxation, as of the end of September 2016, the total amount of additional tax collected through inspections and audits was over 9.230 billion VND, and the amount of tax paid into the state budget was 4.818,1 billion VND.

Specifically, 5.004 businesses were inspected, with a total amount of over 4.006 billion VND collected, refunded, and fined (of which over 1.842 billion VND has been paid into the state budget); 50.709 businesses were audited, with a total amount of over 4.914 billion VND collected, refunded, and fined (of which over 2.666 billion VND has been paid into the state budget).

Tax authorities conducted audits of 673.421 tax declarations, resulting in adjustments that collected 309,57 billion VND for the state budget. These audits uncovered errors and tax evasion by taxpayers, leading to adjustments that increased declared taxes or determined tax assessments.

According to the General Department of Taxation, in the 13 provinces whose budgets are regulated by the central government, 36.817 businesses were inspected and audited in the first nine months of 2016. The total amount of additional tax collected through inspections and audits was over 7.314 billion VND, with over 3.940 billion VND already paid into the state budget.
