Information
To create an interconnected, timely, accurate, and efficient data management system that better serves state management, improves the quality of public services, and ensures the rights of citizens participating in and benefiting from social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance schemes, the project has the following specific objectives:
- Verify personal informationIdentity verification and personal information authentication; removal of duplicate or inaccurate information such as full name, date of birth, place of birth, gender, personal identification number/citizen ID number, social insurance number, etc., between the national social insurance database and other national and specialized databases, ensuring that each individual has only one social insurance number and one health insurance card number, supplemented with a personal identification number and citizen ID number, and correctly verified against the national population database.
- Enhancing the efficiency of public services: Enhancing the efficiency of public services, making it easier for participants and beneficiaries of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance schemes to use online public services such as: registering for contributions and benefits; quickly, accurately, and efficiently searching for information and insurance benefits on the National Public Service Portal and the Vietnam Social Insurance Sector's Public Service Portal; and ensuring the rights and obligations of participants and beneficiaries of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance schemes.
- Preventing fraudTo improve the quality and efficiency of management in Vietnam's social insurance sector, prevent fraudulent activities and abuse of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance funds. This creates data interoperability between national and specialized databases, making it easier to access and share information without having to re-collect data from citizens, reducing unnecessary paperwork and procedures.
- Developing digital government, digital economy, and digital society.Promoting administrative reform, contributing to the building and development of a digital government, digital economy, and digital society, and better serving the people, organizations, and businesses.
Key points for businesses to consider:
- Businesses need to update employee information to ensure it matches the national insurance database.
- Ensure that new workers are registered for insurance and that relevant information is updated promptly to avoid errors and loss of benefits.
- Utilizing online public services to look up and update information saves time and reduces administrative procedures.
- The project will help strengthen monitoring and detection of cases of evasion of social insurance contribution obligations, therefore businesses need to ensure compliance with regulations to avoid penalties.
