On November 3, 2048, Can Tho City inaugurated the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Industrial Park in Cai Rang District. This event was held as part of the celebrations marking the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973-2018). The aim is to strengthen relations, attract foreign investment, and foster a highly skilled workforce.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, Vo Thanh Thong, pledged to create all favorable conditions for Japanese investors to produce and conduct business effectively. The industrial park, spanning over 120 hectares, is located within the planned Class 2 Logistics Center of the Mekong Delta region. Phase one, covering 30 hectares with an investment of nearly 400 billion VND, has completed its technical infrastructure. It was developed by the Can Tho City Development Investment Fund and is specifically for Japanese businesses.
