Decree 129/2016/ND-CP on Vietnam's Special Preferential Import Tariff Schedule for the implementation of the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA Tariff Schedule) for the period 2016-2018 came into effect on September 1, 2016.
Accordingly, goods eligible for ATIGA tariff rates must meet the following conditions:
– Subject to the Special Preferential Import Tariff Schedule issued together with this Decree.
– Goods imported into Vietnam from countries that are members of the above Agreement (including goods from Vietnam's free trade zones imported into the domestic market).
– Shipped directly from the exporting country, which is a member of the Agreement, to Vietnam.
– Comply with the rules of origin stipulated in the Agreement, and possess a Certificate of Origin (C/O) Form D as prescribed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
