On the morning of November 22nd, with 410 out of 456 delegates voting in favor, the National Assembly passed the draft Law amending and supplementing Appendix 4 of the Investment Law regarding the list of conditional investment and business sectors and professions.
The National Assembly approved the addition of the business of firecrackers to the list of prohibited investment and business sectors. At the same time, it agreed to replace Appendix 4 on the list of conditional investment and business sectors with Appendix 4 on the list of 243 conditional investment and business sectors.
The law takes effect from January 1, 2017, except for the provisions regarding conditional investment and business sectors, namely the business of camouflage equipment and software used for audio recording, video recording, and positioning; and the production, assembly, and import of automobiles, which take effect from July 1, 2017.
The government shall regulate the transitional application for organizations and individuals currently investing and doing business in eligible sectors and professions as stipulated in this clause.
